hi.. my baby is 2 n half year old she is suffering from cough n cold.. yesterday my husband gave her broncofree-s 5 ml but it was not for kid..will it affect her in anyways..and what are natural remedies for cough and cold?? plzz suggest...

A. Cough and Cold needs to be treated only after a proper examination by a doctor after the exact cause is diagnosed.it may be any infection or it may be allergic too.it is not so related to food items or climate but seasonal changes may aggravate the susceptibility to get infected.avoid refrigerated food items .maintain good immunity of the child with proper diet and supplements. it may be associated with fever too for which calpol can be given three times a day.. As the first line of treatment for relief you can give steam inhalation which would be of great help .to relieve blocked nose nasoclear drops can also be used multiple times. Cough Syrup or nebulization should be given only after a proper evaluation according to the type of cough .self medication may not be so helpful so please consult your doctor once. if the cough ies productive you can give brozeet-ls or ambrodil syrup for now only n continue only after doctor's advice.avoid refrigerated items and give simple home-made preparations a required.child will gradually begin to eat as symptoms resolve.
