Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. they are fontanelle and usually they will close by maximum 18 months of age and only sometimes by 2 years of age.
they are normally present in all infants and is important for the development growth of the brain
it is important to see that the child is not suffering from calcium and vitamin d deficiency as welld as the child is not having any other complaints because their deficiency is the common cause of delayed closure of fontanelle.x
RashmiMom of a 10 yr 11 m old girl1 Year agoA. Yes sometimes you can take a longer time than two years also but just to be on the safer side I’m going to suggest you to kindly check with your doctor as to how much time it is going to take if they can give you an approximate idea about it
