hi my baby is 18 months now he is having fever cough cold from last 5 to 6 days we visited to dr he started antibiotic cefodoxime n cough syrup ..the antibiotic course is for 5 days now this is 4 th day to taking antibiotic still no health improvement fever is cmbg after every 4 hors n cough still there what should I do ,should I visit to Dr or should I wait ..plz suggest

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children4 years agoA. please continue the medicines for another two days Cold and cough in the babies are because of viral infections which will take at least five to six days time to subside it is advisable to do steam inhalation frequently to liquefy the secretions as well put nasoclear saline drops in the nose of the baby
