Q.

hi , my baby is 1 year now, he makes really shrill high pitch sounds quiet often . specifically if he wants something and sometimes without any reason. he is otherwise very active .. but very restless. he wants to do everything at the same time.. I m quiet concern about his sharp screams .please advise

A. its not a sound .. he screams in that very high pitched shrills

A. Called stridor or laryngomalacia, this is a sound very young babies make when breathing in. It is worse when a child is lying on their back. It is caused by too much tissue around the larynx and is usually harmless. It often passes by the time a child reaches age 2.
