Q.

Hi, My baby has completed 2 months and entered the 3rd month...Im breastfeeding my baby...should I still wake him up every 2 hours to feed...especially during night is it mandatory to wake him up every 2 hours or can I feed on demand basis... how much time gap is safer during nights....please suggest the right feeding interval for my baby... Thanks

A. Dear ma’am, it’s always best to feed on demand. However if the baby doesn’t ask feed for more than 3 hours then wake up and feed. This is during the day time. If the baby is receiving frequent feeds then at night you can give a gap of upto four hours .

A. Feed on demand is always good., If your baby sleeping good for 3 hours no need to wake and feed., otherwise you can feed . Notice the diaper count / urine (8-10times)
