Q.

Hi my baby got vaccine of 15 months so 1 injection on his thigh and the place of vaccine is now paining even after a week , and the muscles become tight /tough/ hard on the place of vaccine on thigh and on touching that child is crying. please suggest

A. after painful vaccines like dpt which comes with pentavalent vaccine can cause swelling in the limbs which can continue for more than two months aalso. it does not require any treatment and should go away on its own. after vaccination immediately you should start applying ice as well as thrombophob gel to prevent such swellings from persisting
