Q.

Hi, my baby got her influenza vaccinations today and doctor said it will be another month as well. There is 2 dose for it. Most of my friends haven’t got 2 shot for their baby. Only 1 dose in 6month old. I have chart showing influenza vaccinations even in 7th months. What is it? Can anyone clarify if they got influenza vaccinations at 6th month ??

A. for the first time you will have to give two dosage to the child and then once a year till 7 years of age flu vaccine also known as influenza vaccine is very important for decreasing the chances of viral infection by at least 60% in your child. the first dosage is given at the end of 6 months and the second dosage at the end of 7 months and then every year till completion of 7 years of age. previously it was an optional vaccine but now it is considered as an important vaccine for children.
