Q.

hi my 4 yrs old son not going potty freely. going coin size potty 3 to 5 times a day but not going freely, it's second week ago, two times he has gone potty like fist size of his. potty colour is yellow or light black. His stomach is not tight tender only. We are giving him 3 or 4 glasses of water a day, fiber food like dal, oats, cornflakes, carrots, cabbage..etc.

A. Many times fibre diet is not enough Your child is having constipation for which kindly give plenty of water to drink and fibre diet made from cereals pulses vegetables and fruits. Specially give papaya banana oats fennel seeds water it will help in decreasing constipation and even after that the problem continues kindly meet your doctor for constipation medicine. it is important for you to know that the problem of constipation will improve with increasing age of the child. You may increase or decrease the dosage of constipation medicine if needed according to the consistency of the stool

A. Still If your child is suffering with constipation start giving prune juice to your child before you put your child to bedtime make it a regular routine this is really going to help a lot in more settling down the digestive system of your child
