A. Yes menstrual cups are nowadays very useful. But you should take care to have proper size so that you don't feel pain or discomfort while. Using it for which you can consult with your gynecologist once for proper examination
And do take care to maintain proper hygiene
Method.
Wash your hands.
Apply a thin layer of a water-based lube or water to the rim of the cup. This will make it easier to insert.
Fold the menstrual cup in half. “You want to place the folded cup in one hand and keep the rim face up,” explains Dr. ...
Insert the cup. ...
Rotate it.
Lubrication
When you use a menstrual cup for the first time, it may feel uncomfortable. But “greasing” your cup can help make the process smooth. Before you put in your cup, lubricate the rim with water or a water-based lube (lubricant). A wet menstrual cup is much easier to insert.

A. Writing from experience here...I have used Sirona cups and I think you will have to try for yourself to get the perfect size. And I am comfortable in inserting/removing it in a squatting position, but you can read through the answers of other users who have been using it in other positions so again you will have to try for yourself.
What others have not written and is my personal experience is that I find using the cup for heavier flow days is better than using when the period is on the last day or the discharge is very little for two specific reasons: First, when there is little discharge (vaginal or menstrual blood) inserting is difficult as there is no lubricant for the cup to slide inside easily. Second, for a few drops of blood discharge, removing and checking the cup feels like a real chore to me so on the first and last day I go for the regular pads.
Do try for atleast two months because I too felt comfortable on the second month of using it, it has been a game changer for me because only it has helped to prevent stains on the heavy flow days and I feel like a fool for not using it earlier.

A. Yes , see , I was like you in the very first place. But trust me once you start using cups , you would definitely switch to it and will forget using pads . And since it's your first try , I think you should use an applicator too , it looks like a tampon . I am currently using sirona's reusable menstrual cup applicator, you can sure give it a try , and there are other options available too in the market 🙌

A. Get comfy: you can insert the cup while sitting, standing or squatting. Spreading your legs will help with a successful and comfortable insertion. Relax.
Fold the cup in on itself to make flat, then in half to form a C shape.Keep it rolled up and guide it rim first into the vagina. To check that the cup has fully opened, slide a clean finger up to the cup bottom and feel it - it should be round.
