Q.

hi, I'm the mom if 143 days baby. she is 6 kg weight. she had UTI and Dr prescribed taxim 50mg/15 ml - give a 3ml twice a day . but in medical shop, there r said it's high dose for 41/2 month baby. pediatric dose is 25mg/10 ml. and Dr prescribed dose is not available in any other medical shop also. now how many ml I want give in 25mg/ 10ml dry syrup. what I the correct dose?. pls kindly help me

A. Hi For a four month old child it is mostly going to be 0.5 ML at one time so actually the dosage of 3ML is actually very very high so instead of going for any medicine as of now I would advise you to take a second opinion from another paediatrician and then you go ahead with it
