Q.

Hi, I'm 12 weeks pregnant.Thyroid was detected in the early weeks of my pregnancy So I have been taking medicine since then. My question is, do I have to take thyroid medicine throughout 9 months?

A. You need to continue your thyroid medicine during your pregnancy And also after delivery till it gets normalized. Have regular checkup of thyroid level every 3 months to decide the dose according to the need.
