hi I have a daughter who is now 1 month and 7 days ...people say whatever you will eat will directly affect a child ..As it was my normal delivery so doctor suggested me a normal diet ...but for 10 days I had lot of green veggies coocked in ghee ,japa ladoo and daliya ...I avoided lot of fruits like pineapple ,papaya ,amla ,dahi and lot of daals like masoor ,chana and tuwar daal ...pls suggest if this is a myth and what diet I should follow as my daughter has cough and cold now

Whatever you eat, might not directly affect your child’s health, but in case if you have any stomach upset or other health issue, then the medication you take directly impact the breastmilk and the child. So it is always advisable to eat a well balanced, healthy diet, and keep yourself hydrated while you breastfeed the baby. Consult your doctor for further guidance.
