Q.
Hi. I have a 16 month old boy. He blabbers random stuff some times but has not yet started talking simple and small words which he shud have as per common belief. Should I be worried?

Author of questionMom of a 6 yr 4 m old boy5 years agoA. So that's what. I'm just expecting him to say Mummy/Pappa. But he's not saying or imitating any of our simple words. Though he understands what we say.. He used to imitate us when he was smaller.

SantoMom of a 8 yr 5 m old girl5 years agoA. Hi dear good morning this is how it starts By 9months to 1yeat they just say mama, papa. By 15 months will understand whatever we say and will observe more. By 18 months they speak few meaningful words amma appa papa mamma thattha.. After two years they make combinations of words like amma give, amma take, appa go, mama come.. Later they make sentences. It will take time for them to speak complete full sentences. Just keep talking more to your kid. I think this should help you
