Q.

Hi, I am asking so many questions about my baby because he has a history of very rare birth defects of fistula in the trachea and esophagus he is doing great now but I am a bit overprotective. like now these days he is having a problem in taking a burp. it takes time like he has to make it forcefully I don't have the correct word for it should I be concerned about it after all giving him healthy food and meals he is not gaining proper weight and height I am worried there is not something related to his surgery of TEF (trachea esophagus fistula ) please suggest me what to do he is 2 years old

A. Namaste Mom, The child as you might have observed would have challenges in swallowing the food, so prefer small meals, also with fluids and dressing as such , give water in between so that it allows to swallow the food as well.
