hi I am a lactating mother of a 16 month old boy.. can I take the covid vaccination? v hv a drive in our office for the 1st dose of covidsheild on 1st July..

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Covid vaccination like covishield/ covaxin in the breastfeeding mothers can be given very safely according to the latest recommendation which is approved now .
minor complications like fever lethargy pain at injection site can be handled safely by takihng paracetamol .
only pregnant women and children are not included in this list.
mothers can feed their child as soon as required after the vaccination very safely with no side effects in the child.
