Hi I am 30 weeks pregnant. in my urine examination everything was ok except Leukocyte esterase positive. does it means urine infection? what medicine should be taken for that?

A. Treatment will depend on the cause of high leukocyte levels. For a UTI, a recommend is antibiotics and to drink plenty of water. For an obstruction( stones), may suggest: drinking plenty of water to flush out small kidney stones.

A. For this particular situation the course of medication that is required can only be suggested by the gynaecologist because during pregnancy you should never take a single medicine without your doctors consent and advice so kindly check with your doctor for this
