hi.. I am 27 year old I have regular period cycle it just gets postponed for a day or two.. I did my pelvic scan today and I got to know I have cyst in my left ovarian about 40mm×37mm.. is it serious issue.. my gynecologist said me to wait til my periods it came out automatically.. does it need surgery

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist3 years agoA. Why was the pelvic scan done in the first place? Is it a simple cyst or a complex cyst? If it is a simple cyst as the size is less than 5 cm you need not worry about it and most of the time is it will go away on its own are you will be started on hormones which will reduce it within 3 to 6 monthsWrite Your Answer Here
