Q.

HI., I am 20 weeks pregnant . During Level 2 scan their has seen some defect( inlet ventricular septal defect seen) and dr advice me to do abortion.. suggest me what should I do.

A. Kindly consult a fetal medicine specialist so that they can further evaluate and find out how severe the defect is it if it is manageable or not. Q. Hi In the anomaly scan report its mentioned 'Suspicious small defect seen in inlet septum - suggested postnatal echocardiography'. Dr mentioned it may be a small hole or chance for down syndrome and hole may close before birth.Is this a serious defect , what needs to be done next.Genetic screening done earlier @12 week showed low risk.
