Q.

Hi Dr. My baby is one month old and she is feeding with breast milk without any formula. Here my question is, she was having continuous milk with gap of 10 - 20 mins and sleep time is also very less. urine flow is normal like min 10 times and poppy is also fine. night time she is having 4 hours sleep. is this normal? please suggest me.

A. not normal, as newborn do sleeps a lot. You can massage baby in evening and can give warm water bath before sleeping. Also maintain comfortable room temperature try to feed longer from one side.

A. hi dear Newborn babies should breastfeed 8–12 times per day for about the first month. Breast milk is easily digested, so newborns are hungry often. Frequent feedings helps stimulate your milk production during the first few weeks. By the time your baby is 1–2 months old, he or she probably will nurse 7–9 times a day.
