Q.

hi dr. my baby is exclusively on breastfeeding and is almost 3 months old.. she takes her total feed maximum for 10-12 minutes. on one side n demands almost. on an interval of 2 hrs.. is it normal?? her weight is 3.9 n her birth weight after weight loss was 2.4. kindly help.

A. Hello mom You have to feed your baby in every two hours gap and baby should take a feat for 20 to 40 minutes at a time. If baby is not taking that much milk in one take then you have to repeat the feeding in less time gap. Baby should be totally on mother’s milk and there is no need to give anything else to your baby till baby turned six months
