hi Dr, I'm breastfeeding my 1yr 4 months old girl baby can I take covid vaccine? if yes which should I take covaxin/coshield?

A. Hi as per government and health ministry, covid vaccine is not advisable to pregnant women, lactating mothers and kids. so it will be better if you avoid vaccination for now and wait for further regulations.

A. hi mom. covaxin or covishield , these both vaccines are not supposed to be taken by breastfeeding and pregnant women. please wait for some more days until the health authority will release the statement then you can take it, but do not take now. but there are some exceptions this both vaccinations can be taken by healthcare workers and frontline workers if their child has completed 6 months. you can consult with your gynecologist once before taking.
