Q.

Hi Dr I have a baby boy 15 months 23 days old. His MMR and Varicella vaccination is due. We could not do this because he had fever. Today we are planning for his vaccination. I got to know from friends that there are two types MMR+V and MMRV Could you please advise which should be given? Also whichever you advise, please share the side effects which we need to monitor.

A. Vaccination for children can be considered in the current situation as the cases of covid are less to some extent . In such condition most important Vaccination should be given on priority which your doctor will decide. it Influenza vaccine should be given to children above 6 months of age in this season if not given to avoid unnecessary hospitalisation and other risk factors because of flu infection
