Hi Doctor, Our baby is 1yr old and recently she was recovered from motions and vomiting, now she is not showing interest in food or milk feeding, could you please suggest how to increase her food intake ?

A. as food for the baby you can give all kind of seasonal fruits and vegetables. you can give Apple everyday .can also give mango , pomegranate,papaya and banana according to the season and requirement . avoid giving banana excessively and daily otherwise it may cause constipation. you can also give rice preparations oatmeals curd preparationsband daliya. it will be better if you are able to give dairy products daily apart from milk. refrigerated and packed foods should be avoided, junk foods should also be avoided. if you will give excessive of milk to the child the hunger may get satisfied by that and the child may not be interested in having other variety of food. over all you need to see that you are giving a balanced diet to your child with proper fulfillment of nutritional and energy df requirements according to the age

A. Hi Give some light food Burp well after evey feeding by holding your baby in straight right position and wait for burping atleat ten minutes Consult with your doctor in person for proepr physical examination and treatment Offer different varieties of food fruits vegetable pulses whole grains milk products in different shape colours patterns to make meal more interesting children are fussy eater at this age its all normal and common you can give food in puree liquid form or give some juice soup milkshake etc
