Hi Doctor, My son is 7 months 28days old. he is having loose motions. Can I use Nitrogen syrup.or is there any syrups. Can you suggest me on this. Thanks, Thanuja.

meeta agarwalMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello mommy, The most important thing you can do to treat diarrhea in infants is to continue to feed your baby. Breastfeed or offer the bottle more frequently while your child has loose stools to provide extra fluids. You should not stop feedings to try to rest your child's stomach.
Most of the pediatricians recommend the BRAT diet. The BRAT diet is a bland-food diet and stands for Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast. The BRAT diet helps to recover from lose stools since it includes binding foods which make the stools firmer.
