Q.

Hi Doctor, my son has hearing loss problem and we are doing cohlear implantation for both ears. But my concern is he is not eating food due to he is not listening any sounds, after implantation is there any chances to eat food. Thanks,

A. Hello father it could possibly be due to the condition, don’t force him , let him take as much he can take comfortably , and keep him in fluids that’s important to keep him well hydrated , over fruits , coconut water, give him foods in small quantities

Q. Hi Doctor, my son is 2yr 11 months old.. he had cold and fever 1 month back and recover after a week. now we noticed a decrease hearing from last week and showed to paediatrician. they told otitis media with effusion without infection. audiometry shows conductive hearing loss in both ears upto 40 percentage. now he is on antihistamines and decongestants. we are worried about hearing loss.. any further treatment needed?
