hi doctor my daughter is 5 years old . she had cold and cough past 3 days .night time she had cough and vomtings with phlegm .what can I do ?15 days back she had the same problem and recoverd to consult pediatrician. this problem repeated every 15 days in every winter and rainy season.

A. it is in diagnosis of allergic cough cold . here the child will have regular cough and cold which is usually not associated with fever . it increases and decreases but does not get cured completely. dr will give anti allergic medicine usually motelukast / levocetirizine. if its still not improvizng the next line of treatment will be inhaler therapy with mdi / nebulizer. allergy can be environmental (temperature variation -hot to cold weather/ cold water intake / dust / smoke / pollens) , food , chocolate / packet preservatives food and swezet food also. body cannot sustain such allergic changes leading to cough cold usually at evening /night and morning.
