Q.

Hi doctor, My baby suddenly got 102 fever in the night. We visited to the hospital and the doctor gave antibiotic.. I just need a second opinion. Please look into the attachment. Shall I proceed with the medicines in the prescription. If yes, please let me know the syp augpen-hs is to be given 5ml two times a day?

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and yvgou can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever
