Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy1 Year agoA. at this age the child should pass stool regularly. if the consistency is hard and the child is having pain while passing stool it is considered as constipation. give plenty of water and fibre diet to the child it is important to give fibre diet from cereals fpulses vegetables and fruits avoid giving more than 400 ml milk everyday and avoid giving packet and processed foods as well as biscuits and refined foodf adding papaya , fennel seeds water , oats pear prunes pineapple banana kishmish to the regular diet will help in decreasing constipation.

Give more of liquids to the child fibre to the child seems like a child could be dehydrated and due to hard motion or maybe that is why your child is having difficulty in pooping so I would recommend you that you please check with your doctor laxative as of now and also give more of liquids and fiber to your child
