Hi doctor, My baby boy is 4.5 months old and he is having left side flat head. this is may be because of his one side. sleeping posture not sure. may u know when this will become normal

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. due to pressure on one side of the head during sleeping there is flatness / abnormal shape on that side of the head.
no treatment is required for flat head / bumpy head and you will see that by one year to two yvears of age the flat head will go away as soon as the child begins to sit and later walk.
pillows will not help much in this case so do not worry.
the bones in the skull are elastic so to give space to the growingc brain it takes different shape and when the growth of the brain occurs properly then gradually they will take a normal shape

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. Plagiocephaly is a misshapen or flat head. It can happen in the uterus or during birth. It can also develop in the early months of life. Plagiocephaly usually fixes itself as babies grow, but sometimes treatment is needed.
