Hi Doctor I'm geetha here.. My 2 months baby is suffering from cold and nise block. Whats the solution for that. Please let me know what should i do. Awaiting for your reply. With warm regars Geetha.

A. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it can be allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like wikoryl, alex cold In viral illness there can be cough and fever which needxs treatment accordingly lalong with a proper hydration .

A. Hi mom Give indirect steam to ur baby 2-3 times in a day and put nasal saline drops to unblock nose.. Also apply warm mustard oil with pinch of rock salt on the chest and feet of the baby to get relief from cough and cold
