A. Your daughter's cold and cough could be due to a viral infection, seasonal changes, or allergies. Here are some home remedies and care tips: Home Remedies: Warm Fluids: Give her warm water, soups, or lukewarm milk with turmeric to soothe her throat. Honey (for 1+ year-olds): ½ teaspoon of honey with a pinch of black pepper can help relieve cough. Steam Inhalation: Let her inhale steam with a few drops of eucalyptus oil (under supervision). Saline Nasal Drops: If she has nasal congestion, saline drops can help clear her nose. Elevate Head While Sleeping: This helps in reducing cough at night. Keep Her Hydrated: Give water, coconut water, or warm herbal teas. Avoid Cold and Fried Foods: Stick to light, easily digestible food. When to See a Doctor: If fever persists for more than 3 days. If she has difficulty breathing or wheezing. If the cough is severe and persistent, especially at night. If she refuses to eat or drink. Let me know if she has any additional symptoms like fever, chest congestion, or ear pain, so I can guide you better.
