HomeQuestions & AnswersHi Doc,
my baby is 9weeks. He is on breastfeed. Yesterday night he took feed at 12.30 and slept. Took next feed at 6am. And again woke up at 10. But since night-time, he didn't pee. At 10 when he again took feed then he peed during feeding. This has happened for first time-8 hour gap in peeing. Is this normal? Please advise.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 8 yr 3 m old boy4 years agoA. you have to give only demand feeding to the child that is whenever the child feels hungry you can give milk to the child and the child will take the milk according to the need and then will leave the. milk. if the child is taking more milk you can offer milk in more quantity with intermittent burping . there is no need to to go for hourly feeding pattern. also there is no need to wake up the child from sleep if the weight of the child is within normal limits
