Q.

Hi am Megha, I have a baby of 6 month old I had gestational daibaties in my pregnancy and I was taking insulin after my delivery my sugar level came to normal but after 6 month I found my sugar levels are high again so I started taking insulin again. so my question is can I continue to breastfeed my baby

A. yes you can but physician advice too. you have to do a few more tests and a scan after a local doctor advice for proper treatmentsee only the doctor who can see you in person can judge what is the right status. best to trust her

A. my gestational diabetes also continues after the delivery... I'm taking insulin and metaformin tablet and I'm breastfeeding as suggested by my doctor... my doctor suggested to take only insulin as I'm breastfeeding ..

A. hi megha.. it is better to consult your treating doctor regarding this. as he or she knows well about your health and please inform him that you are breasfeeding mother so he can prescribe needed medicines as per this.
