Q.

helo doctor my child of 3 years is having thyroid. we are supplement for that. But when ever she is getting fever she also getting fits. Iam so much worried about that????

A. Hello, your baby girl is 3 years old and she is having a thyroid problem and fits while high grade fever so get her EEG and start her iron medicine supplements

A. this condition is also known as febrile seizures(fits/convulsions) many times prophylaxis medicines to decrease the chances of seizures is given by the doctor which may contain anti seizures medicine as well as anti seizures nasal spray. meet your doctor who will tell you how to use this medicines in an emergency. at the same time it is important to get the child vaccinated for all important infecdtious disease as well as flu vaccine which will decrease the chances of fever in your child this disease does not usually occur after completion of 5 years of age at the timex of initiation of fever it is important to give fever medicines immediately as well as give sponge bath to decrease the chances of seizures.
