Q.

hello sir, my daughter is getting repeated wheeze. now on controllers. infectious causes ruled out. is she asthmatic? will she grow out of it? couldn't find out the reason for allergy. till 3 years she was absolutely fine. should I meet an allergy specialist?

A. Yes she is already on budecort inhalers. what is that once a month meds for allergy? we have to carry levolin puffs wherever we go and sometimes to school too. your guidance ll be appreciated. thank you

A. it appears to be allergic cough/cold. they can be associated with temperature variations around the body (hot to cold or cold to hot environmental changes) which the body cannot sustain leading to cough usually at evening /night and morning. requires examination and start anti allergic medicines. meet dr and prevent such temperature variations. there is a possibility of starting anti allergic medicines for at least one month and the doctor will decide if the child needs inhaler therapy or nebulization. when allergies are not controlled they can lead to intermittent respiratory infections which needs other medicine yes children grow out of allergy
