hello sir my bby is 1.7yrs.n from yesterday some time she is doing vomate n some time loose motion.m.giving granderm syrup for vomate 1.4 ml nd oflox oz syrup for loose motion 3.5 ml.is it ok or not?

A. Loose motions may occur due to some infection or if chronic than could be some malabsorption. Initially you can give zinc supplement for 2 weeks and probiotic like econorm sachet for 3 days for two times a day. For any specific treatment with antibiotics,consult your doctor and maintain proper hydration . can give khichdi,sabudana , mashed potato ,ripe banana, poha if the baby is above 6 months of age, maintain proper hydration by giving plenty of fluids. if there is any stomach ache in a baby above one year of age drotin ds syrup can be given under medical advice.usually during the teething phase loose motion is commonly seen in the babies because children have a tendency to put their dirty fingers into the mkoouth or any other object due to irritation in the gums.
