Q.

Hello, My son is 7 months old. I had IUGR so he was born with low weight 1.7 kgs and his height was 37 cms. From birth to 5th month, his growth (height & weight) was at good pace. After that his weight is increasing, but height stops increasing. From 5th month, his height is 53 cms to till date. And his weight is 5.3 kgs around. So as a parent my concern is his overall growth. Please advise.

A. Baby immunity and growth can be taken care of by giving a proper diet with all the nutrition required for proper growth of the chfild . vitamin C, zinc, iron and vitamin D has key rofle in this. Multivitamin syrup like syp full 365 can be given 5 ml twice a day for 1 to 2 months. Give all the vaccination required.

A. Hello dear parent! For the first 6 months baby should grow 4cms every month. After which the height increase will be 2cms per month on average. Your baby is doing good. Give your baby 3 meals and water along with daily breastfeed. Regularly massage your baby with Babyhug cold pressed coconut oil for muscle flexibility and skin health.
