Hello my son is 21 months old. he is not eating rice. when forcefully feeding spitting. he is eating cakes biscuits and all other items except rice or chapati any normal meal. not eating vegetables also. please suggest some syrup or any remedy to make him hungry.

A. you will have to consult your pediatrician before giving any supplements or any such tonic to increase the hunger or appetite. randomly giving the medicine is not advisable. your pediatrician knows your baby personally and hence will be able to judge better if he needs it. do not give if not necessary. cut down on the junk foods and automatically he will eat regular food.
