ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist3 years agoA. Dear mum, weight of 6.16 kg is normal for 5 months old baby. On an average, if your baby has been gaining at least 500 grams per month and is active, alert, achieving all growth milestones, passing urine more than 7 times in 24 hours then it indicates good health.
For healthy weight gain, continue to exclusively breastfeed till 6 months complete. At one episode of breast feeding feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain.
