Q.

Hello my daughter is 2 years 11 months. I have always followed the vaccination tracker of firstcry as its very convenient and genuine but today i have a doubt as per the tracker she received her first mcv vaccine at the age of 9 months and second dose at 12 months.but as per the tracker she also received a mcv vaccine 3rd shot after 24 months. Was it required bcz 2 doses of mcv vaccine she already got and will it have any side effect in future?I am very worried as she received an extra shot for same vaccine which only 2 doses are required

A. All the vaccination should be given according to the vaccination schedule whether the government or IAP schedules and you can discuss with your pediatrician regarding the details of the vaccination. Pulse polio immunization programme is provided by the government to all children below 5 years of age. if your child has received polio vaccine before as per the schedule then also you should give this vaccine on the the pulse polio day as this is an additional vaccine. For polio vaccine dates and related query you need to contact your local authorities .
