POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. After the baby is at lest 6 months old and preferably after a year. A baby should ideally be breastfed for at least 6 months. If the mother is taking a break from her job, a two year period would be ideal. By then mother and child will have had quite some time together and the mother would have been able to get some rest. The babies inoculations would have been done and teething troubles would have been over. Besides the child would have adapted to seasonal changes by then and would be less likely to fall sick. At 2 years age a child starts pre-school, which is for a few hours. Many such schools have a Day Care centre too, so the child is taken care of while the mother is at her workplace.
