Q.

Hello. My daughter is 13 months old. Whenever I try to give her semi solid or mashed food, she throws up after a few bites. She eats if it is in a puree form. I am worried as she is still not able to eat solids. Kindly suggest if I can do something about this.

A. Hi, It is only out of habit. However do not force feed that would lead to feed refusal. Instead offer solids, show her how to chew a x eat it. Baby need repeated exposure foods even before she starts liking to eat so perseverance is the key.Try giving your baby variety of food with different taste, colour and texture. Sit down with your plate when you are feeding your kid, it will encourage her to see that you are also eating the same food. Try to make the baby eat while playing. Limit intake of the milk.
