hello my baby is two months and 2 days today ,she got her bcg vaccine at her birth only ,before 15 days the lump was fine but yesterday there was ejection of pus from injection site. is it normal? with in how much tym it will heal.. when should i visit for next vacation

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy3 years agoA. bcg vaccination which is given at birth in the upper arm will form a swelling by one or maximum two months and then it will burstt open and then pus will come out from it and after that it will become a scar mark. you have to take medical consultation if it days causing pain fever and discomfort to the child. also if the pus discharge is increasing or aggravating again you have to meet the doctor and locally you can apply t bact cream

Yes BCG vaccination it is absolutely normal you can just probably clean that area with beta Dean and after that you can leave it open slowly gradually it is going to settle down but still to be on the safer side I am definitely going to advise you to get it checked once with your doctor please
