Q.

Hello, my baby is 15th month old now, got his vaccine on 20th. today (after 2 days to vaccine) he got fever. is it normal to get fever after vaccination? for how long it will b there n is calpol suffice?

A. when fever comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the the injection site. if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel. vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever

A. it is normal to get fever after vaccination that may be there for 24-48hrs.. give calpol as prescribed.. update the baby details in first cry vaccination tracker to get details regarding upcoming vaccination and also set reminder..
