Hello, my 4 yrs and 10 months old son got injured today and got a cut on chin. He received DPT booster dose on 23/6/2023. Does he need to take tetanu vaccine again or that booster is valid till 5 years? please answer.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 9 m old boy1 Year agoA. no need if your child has completed the regular vaccination there is no need to go for tetanus vaccination at this age because it is already covered in the national immunisation schedule. if the injury or cut is very dirty enough then the final decision of tetanus vaccine will be taken by the doctor.
