hello my 11 days old baby sleeps for 4 to 5 hours at night and sometimes during the day also .we try to wake him up but he seems very sleepy.He had jaundice few days back so I am a bit worried ..is it ok to sleep for a very long time?

A. if the child is sleeping more than normal but the growth of the child is proper and in between activity of the child is normal then no intervention is required butz if you feel that the child is lethargic and is not taking feeds properly then mzedical examination is very important
