hello,my 10 month baby suffering by mucs by nose,I show to doctor, doctor gives me syrup for 5 to 7 days.i am giving to her every day but till now its coming.she is not taking proper breath also,in night she felt breathing problems.what shoulde I do?pls tell

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest.
As af part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .

You Ask your doctor if you can nebulise your child because that is going to help in opening up the nose blockage as well as it is going to help in reducing down the congestion in the chest and throat of your child so nebulisation is definitely going to be a good choice
