Hello experts!! why phototherapy is used when baby gets jaundice...and why baby gets blood infection due to change in blood group with mother..my blood group is B Negative and baby bld gro is B positive... doctor kept in box for 5days and facet some antibiotics injections to baby.. please explain it to me clearly ..

A. when baby and mother have different RH for the blood group yes there are maximum chances of blood infection as there are antibodies formed in the body during the pregnancy and you need to have proper management for that you should take care that during your second pregnancy take anti D injection necessary

If I want to clear understanding on this then you please discuss this issue with your doctor because it is a detailed think so I think your doctor would be able to give you a clarity on this photo therapy does help in reducing down the jaundice amount because it provides whatever is required by the body during that time to deal with jaundice issue and also yes this is a very common thing that I have seen when the blood group of a child is different from other they do suffer with some or the other issue that’s very very normal
