Hello everyone I was having tightness in right breast and pain I met to my doctor she milk has collected and adviced express the milk out when I m expressing the milk out some thick milk also coming out.I want to ask,how many days it will take for normal? Is it normal thick milk coming out?Kindly advise me

ExpertDr Mahesh PatilPaediatrician3 years agoA. hi you are mother of 19 months old now as your baby must having decrease breast feeding it is bound to have heaviness in breast but with time milk production decrease if baby doesn't feed regularly

Take milk is not a problem so don’t worry about it also it may take about a day or so to be completely fine along with water doctor has advised you I would also advise you to go ahead with doing hot compress that’s going to help in reducing doubt that hardness would be easier for you to take the milk out afterwards so go ahead we doing this hot compress is really very helpful during this time
