hello Dr. my self bhavani I gave birth my baby last week 16th Oct 2024 but my due date is Nov 12th. when baby birth weight 2.7kg bt now she seven days old she lose so much weight what is the reason please explain me doctor it is normal or wht I do now

A. thank you mam, my baby take so much nap 😴 whenever I feed breastfeed to my baby she feed only 10minit. she pass urine, poop, after feed she burp, she lose weight only tension for me otherwise everything is normal in her

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. Babeis they gain around 200 gms per week in the first month after birth. Then the babies they gain around 500 gms every month till six months. Feed after every 2-3 hours interval or when demanded by the baby for weight gain. give only breastmilk till completion of six months. start vitamin d and multivitamins supplements regularly. give Sunbath every morning for half an hour. massage regularly with coconut oil or almond oil.
